Keepers testified during the bond hearing. She has been seeing a psychiatrist at Virginia Tech and was given medication for depression. The psychiatrist did not view Keepers as suicidal or homicidal. Keepers said that the transition to college has been stressful, and through counseling she is learning to love herself and cope with life.
Keepers’ mom and dad both testified. Keepers’ dad said Natalie Keepers comes from a Christian family and has never been in trouble before.
Keepers used to cut herself. Last year Natalie Keepers got a semicolon tattoo behind her ear as a pact with a friend to stop cutting herself.
Her father said Keepers is being held in solitary confinement at the jail because she is “not street smart†and would be bullied and targeted in jail.
Her dad complained that Keepers is not getting the correct medication in jail, and that she does not have a proper mattress for her allergies.
Outside of court, Keepers’ parents had no comment.
Thanks for the news everyone, one of the earlier threads on this showed the female, Keepers interned at Nasa and had science experiments at her Church’s Bible school.

I don’t understand it either. They were both very accomplished (even though they do look like two complete losers in the mug shots). He was a big track star in HS, and she interned at NASA.
Did they really think they were going to get away with this? Maybe they’re dumber than one might think, because it seems like the cops got wise to them PDQ.
You know, if I was running VT I might consider getting an exorcist in there, because there seems to be a very bad mojo around that place. Don’t know if it predates the mass murder that took place or not, but wasn’t another gal from around there killed last year? And isn’t it thought that the guy who killed her (who did not go to the school iirc) might have attacked some other women?
The connection to Bible School and the track jerk’s stint at a Christian high school doesn’t necessarily mean all that much. It should but it doesn’t. Remember, the satanic “artist” Marilyn Manson was a product of a Christian high school in Ohio and one of the savage murderers (also for no damned reason) in the Tate-LaBianca murders was Leslie Van Houten, who sang in the Presbyterian Church choir.
She also cut herself, was on Prozac and self absorbed and spoiled. Her father complained that that mattress was not allergy free and she is not getting all the medications. Natalie complained that the prison food was not gluten free. Selfish millennial who grew up in a very liberal area spoiled by her parents. She tattooed a semicolon on her neck.
