Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio on Thursday vaulted into second place in a daily tracking poll, but still trails front-runner Donald Trump by double-digits in the New Hampshire primary

Trump leads the GOP field with 36 percent support, according to the WHDH/UMass Lowell poll, followed by the Florida senator with 15 percent support, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 14 percent support, former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 8 percent support and Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 7 percent support.

Cruz couldn’t even barely draw a crowd yesterday in Grenville, SC

I can’t speak to what size audience Cruz had in Grenville SC. but in Greenville SC. it was a packed house!

Well first Cruz and Trump need to quit fighting and focus on Rubio.

Trump also needs to stop crying about losing in Iowa.

Totally agree. It's time to move on or else we will get slonged again by the GOPe.

Better, of course.

Hoping for a win, but expecting 2nd place. Depends upon how well Rubio does, I suppose.

The anger of the American left and right is a hard thing gage. I guess it will depend upon who shows up at the polls and what emotional state they are in.

Looks like Kasich is going away Tues night

I despise the sellout, but honestly, he has a potential situation in his homestate. They’re saying all of the construction will be done before the convention, but the city is short by a lot the police needed. Kasich has to do some leadership (instead of his usual leadership of leading all state funds to deep-pocket donors), coordinate with Cleveland, and make sure things are in place for the convention.

If he hangs around on the convention trail much longer, I’m wondering if city and state coordination will be adequate.

Thanks for posting this—haven’t read much about Kasich shenanigans. May need to have a Kasich Shenanigans thread if he moves up much further ;(

“People like you bitch and moan about Trump’s bitching and moaning.”

I don’t get up in the morning and start the day by asking myself, “Who can I attack on Twitter today?” And when I lose at something, I think about WHY and try to do better next time.

Trump’s whining is NOT playing well outside the Trump Echo Chamber. People are LAUGHING at him.

Not really. The new hampshire voters are fired up for Trump and at his Arkansas rally last night Trump broke a record with attendance, a record previously held by Zz Top. Because everyone is crazy about a sharp dressed man! Cruz’s sleeves are too long, lol!

Is Rubio the backlash beneficiary of Cruz’s alleged dirty tricks?

I agree...but the GOPe and the media and talking heads, Rush, Levin and Hannity are right in there with the rest of them...

Santorum came out today and endorsed Rubio, when Morning Joe asked him what had Rubio done in the Senate, Santorum couldn't give an answer, skirted around it...

I know a couple of things: Cruz pushed GWB for John Roberts and John Roberts got in the Supreme Court and that is why we have obumacare...

Jeb Bush mentored Rubio and he went to the Senate and worked up the bill of the gang of eight...

Everyone has been yelling and screaming all they want is someone to stand up for the American people, we have that person Trump, and they are trying to tear him down...what is in the water these days?

what is in the water these days?

Extract of idiocy.

Couple of drops with an eye dropper into a glass of otherwise harmless liquid, and presto, dumb as a box of rocks.

I am not engaging in the Trump-Cruz slugfest.

Either of them is preferable to the guys who are telling us they will give the country away.
They are at least saying the right things.
Not sure any of them will stop The Cheap Labor Express.

Bush is finished. The real question is whether he will take down Rubio as well

If it gets to that point, that as Heb spirals into the ground he starts taking Rubio with him, the GOPEs/RINOs will step in and shut it down. The Bush's are charter members of the GOP Elite. In the end, they will do what the GOPE leaders tell them to do.

Rubio will need to fail on his own -- hopefully in the primaries ... and soon! -- which he may very well do as he does not have the support of his own base and will not attract cross-over voters.

That poll is a three day rolling average, which means Rubio crushed it yesterday if he went up that much and Trump went down more than the poll suggests. Look at it again in three days and we will know more. Cruz stayed the same which means his support is solid.
