Goldman Donations Shift to Marco Rubio as Jeb Bush Fades (Bush Hopes on Life Support)
Breitbart ^ | 3 Feb 16 | Mike Flynn

Posted on 02/04/2016 5:54:04 AM PST by xzins

According to recent FEC filings, top political donors at Goldman Sachs shifted their giving to Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% in the last three months of last year.

Jeb Bush had been the top recipient of donations from the Wall Street investment bank. Donations to Bush shrank to a trickle as his campaign faded.

The most recent filing covers contributions and expenses between October and December. Marco Rubio’s campaign received $107,000 from Goldman Sachs executives. This number likely does not include donations to various Super PACs tied to Rubio’s candidacy.

One of the bank’s lobbyists, Joseph Wall, is a campaign bundler for Rubio. Bundlers collect donations from a variety of sources on behalf of the campaign.

In contrast, Jeb Bush’s campaign received just $2,950 from Goldman donors in the final three months of year. Prior to the fourth quarter, though, Goldman executives had donated $773,000 to Bush campaign accounts. Except for Cruz, Rubio and Bush, all other Republicans candidates received less than $19,000 from the bank in all of last year.

Goldman Sachs has a string of political whores on retainer. Rubio and Cruz are just two of them.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79%

I guess I'm behind the times; what does the 79% mean?

That’s a rating organization that Breitbart uses. It is a conservative rating. I tried to go to the rating site, and briefly saw a few things, but then they want you to buy their service, and I’m just not that interested.

Goldman Sachs contributes to more than one candidate...as does Club For Growth.

When I heard Jeb Bush speaking to a gathering, he laid out some points and then...silence. Next I heard, “please clap”.

My heart went out to the poor sap.

Time to man up Jeb. Writings on the wall. Bow out before you make a complete fool of yourself.

For the stupids who can’t do basic research...it’s on the web in a dozen places..and lots of additional info available.

But its allegiances are spread across the political map — consistent with the firm’s long history of cultivating influence no matter which candidate or party is in office.
Story Continued Below

Goldman Sachs employees are the top contributors to the Republican campaigns of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, according to an analysis of federal campaign finance records the Center for Responsive Politics conducted for POLITICO. They’ve given $483,500 to the campaign and super PAC supporting Bush and $79,600 to Rubio’s campaign and allied super PAC

Republican Ted Cruz’s wife is a Goldman Sachs executive whose colleagues have begun to step up with donations since she took a leave of absence to campaign and raise money for her husband. He’s taken in $43,575 from the company in total during his campaign.

That’s from POLITICO
More can be found at CNN Money, IBD, WaPo, ABC, CNN, CBS, NYT

Not obscure info, you probably knew that already.

“Have you looked at how many Goldman Sachs people now work for Chertoff group”

No, it doesn’t matter to me. Because according to the attacks on Cruz, anyone who pulls out a loan from a bank for a car or a house or a business etc. is in bed with the big evil banks. That’s all I need to know.

What we are seeing is the beginning of the GOPe coalescing around Rubio. After NH and SC Cruz will fade fast and it will be Rubio and Trump. The party will do everything in their power to destroy Donald Trump. Just as they do every four years the establishment will attempt to Mitt Romney us.

Do you know anything about that world?

I have been around it.

More than I care to admit.

Those Goldman Boys that went to Chertoff did not severe their contacts.

Chertoff is a major player in the intelligence world with contacts in the banking world.

Good god, Cruz campaign chair OWNS that firm with Chertoff. His wife is CEO of North America for Accenture.

Wake up.

“Wake up.”

You mean like realizing that Trump was one of the special interests buying politicians prior to running for President? Wait, I thought we hated those things. Oh the irony.

Trump isn't owned by them. That's the difference between him and the Rube.

I don't think they own Cruz. They'd like to, but he can't be bought outright. Influenced, but not bought.
