How about Ted just consults with Trump and they run the rest of the table together. Ted’s handlers went dirty. I like Ted, but they made him icky. Ted is very young.... Young like we need in a VP. Trump looks at VP’s as leaders, not like the rest of Washington or the government does.

1st job for the VP if I were Trump. Do me a favor Ted... Destroy the Senates old boy power. Do that constitution thing you harp about. ;-) Whooo Heeee. Bring in the band. I am going to be overseeing a wall and trade deals. 8 years of Trump and they will be clamoring for 8 years of Cruz. Look back through my posting history. Till Cruz got these jerks on his campaign I was 100% behind him.

It will become clearer as time goes by who you should back.

No hurry, unless you’re in New Hampshire.

Defeat Rubio, Defeat Clinton...Win in November.

I'll add, Defeat Bush because I saw some poll come out today that's touting Bush as second in NH. Not sure I believe it's real but it means someone is still pushing Bush.

If I need brain surgery, I’d want someone a bit laid back and deliberative like Carson instead of one that acts like he eats coffee grounds and washes it down with RedBull.

We need a President right now who goes into the office eating coffee grounds and drinking RedBull to quickly undo as much damage as he can.

Both Cruz and Trump fit that ticket. IMHO

I’m basically in the same boat. I’m just happy to let them duke it out and plan to support the one standing at the end.

Its a win-win situation. Let the strongest survive and learn from the strengths of the vanquished.

Ha!

I agree we need energy. But we need a steady hand and careful measured responses. You’re playing chess with a guy like Putin. Many moves ahead. You can’t fire off the hip or with emotion in the driver seat. Trump needs to keep the id in check.

They all have qualities that, combined, would make for a great leader.

If DT’s personal attacks on Cruz don’t bother you, maybe you prefer DT.
If you are more concerned with who will appoint federal and SC judges, enforce existing laws maybe you prefer Cruz.
If you like the tone DT sets with his trashing of all who do not favor him, DT is your guy.
If you like the tone Cruz sets with his ability to listen to opposite points of view before explaining his side clearly, without ANY personal bashing Cruz is your guy.

Just brainstorming here...

Campaign with, stump for, contribute to, volunteer on behalf of, root for and vote for whichever one gets the nomination, assuming one of them does.

I have liked Cruz since he was elected. I especially liked the fact that he took the views of his bosses, the voters, to the Senate. He has never betrayed them what brung 'im.

I have liked the fact that Trump has steam rollered political correctness. I wish he would do that without sounding like a professional wrestler. I believe one can.

I like to think one of these two will win. While I'm pulling for Cruz, I also am an official...of sorts...among my Congressional District Republicans so will enthusiastically campaign for Trump if he wins.

If the "establishment" wins, I will campaign for the winner, but not enthusiastically.

Liking both of these guys should make your life easy for the moment. Your two guys control about half of the vote. That percent will increase when the guys who have no chance withdraw.

It’s not win-win though.

If they keep up this level of hatred, negativity, bashing and slug fest, THEY WILL KILL EACH OTHER OFF. Two pit bulls with death grips.

Then Rubio will stroll in. Or Jeb or Kasich.

They have gone beyond fist fighting now.

Anyone who is old enough to vote in this election is old enough to have lived in the twentieth century when we saw the world turnover many times. We are now living in the twenty-first century and it is hardly an exaggeration to say that we should expect the world not just to turnover but to spin.

We are electing a president to cope with the onrush of threats to our democracy, our Constitution, our economic well-being and our very existence but we do not know exactly what these threats will be or where they will come from. We know only that we will be sorely tested.

Unable to be sure of the threats and shape of events to come, it is not possible to select a president based on his handling of the events in the future because we have no idea what will occur. We are reduced to choosing a president based not on his stand on particular issues but on his general political philosophy and his personal character.

That means, is the man (or woman) possessed of the kind of fundamental belief system that animated Thomas Jefferson when he wrote the Declaration of Independence or the humility that animated George Washington when he walked away from the presidency after his second term? If the candidate is possessed of a political philosophy that is inimical to me I reject him.

Applying this test to the three frontrunning candidates, I find that Donald Trump has only the most tenuous claim on conservatism, Marco Rubio has betrayed conservatism and, therefore, only Ted Cruz survives as a man who will govern in the crunch according to sound conservative beliefs which animated my ancestors when they founded this country.

Applying this test as it concerns character to these three candidates, I come to the same conclusion. Donald Trump is opportunistic, narcissistic, nearly pathological, petulant, and not the kind of man we can entrust to guide the nation through, for example, a second Cuban missile crisis when the survival of the world might hang on the judgment of the president. He is simply not the kind of man who can stand up to our adversaries when much of the world demands that are president appease our enemies. The character did Ronald Reagan is a shining example of the right kind of man for the job. Donald Trump's character is unfit to be trusted with our nuclear arsenal and the fate of our children.

Marco Rubio has shown himself to be a cheap politician, an opportunist, untrustworthy, a man who will abandon, even betray, his friends for an opportunity to move up the ladder. Rubio thus also fails the character test. His betrayal on immigration is unforgivable because it is not merely a cheap political flip-flop it is a fundamental sellout which endangers the Republican Party and threatens to disenfranchise the conservative movement forever. We cannot trust his character in the crunch because he consciously put his party and his country at risk for his own personal advancement.

Ted Cruz has shown that he possesses the strength of character to stand for the right principles against all odds; a president who will do so openly and in a manly fashion. The calnumies so cravenly served up by Trump and Rubio supporters concerning Cruz' stand on immigration amnesty are simply not persuasive. I am not at all distressed by the allegations that Trump is not a natural born citizen. I believe, on balance, that he is, that his standing is in keeping with the understanding of the framing fathers, in keeping with the practice over the centuries, and in keeping with our acceptance of the candidacies of Goldwater, McCain, Romney, and even Obama himself.

In the tumultuous world to come we need a conservative with character and the only man who can win and who is possessed of those qualities is Ted Cruz.

Funny thing, if Trump hadn't decided to run we would all be wondering if rather Front Runner Bush or Second Place Rubio would end up taking Florida.

BEST Election Season ever. Twists, turns, pending Indictments and a Bolshevik uprising.

I almost posted this earlier today, but backed off. Your comments made me think of it again. I don't take the back and forth between Trump and Cruz too seriously. Funny, certainly, but not serious. My gut tells me they don't either. I think that provided they don't hit each other too far below the belt (if you know what I mean), there can be a big reconciliation at some point (if advantageous) to join forces and take down any competing Rino’s and the Dims. They could run the entire field. Wishful thinking perhaps?

Trump's message is the same one Obama had - Change.

Other than that he's lost so he knows he can bring Cruz down by attacking him and Cruz proves him right every time.

Meanwhile Rubio looks better to the public as he acts to be above it all.

I feel your pain. First came Cruz (my Senator) and believing he would have no chance of winning nationwide. Then Trump came aboard (after several meetings w/Cruz and others). After that the vision was to see the two arm in arm knocking heads across the country as a team. That team is still in the back memory; but, afraid to say feel it is less than likely given all that has transpired. Cruz (IMHO) has only done so well due to the fact he has worked tirelessly below the radar while Trump took all the incoming. Fortunately (or not) when Texas votes for primary, the actual winner, anointed won, will have been decided so the choice will not be any of my doing. Go TRiUMPh

Yup!

The filibuster made me an instant Cruz fan.

I wish I had a magic wand I could wave to make Cruz and Trump kiss and make up :’(

CRUZ and TRUMP should KISS AND MAKE UP!

I wish Cruz was smart enough to see his best shot at president someday is to join Trump as VP.

And I wish Trump was man enough to agree to serve as Cruz’s VP if the winds blow in that direction.

Pray my friends... this election really is a must win.

Hey! Trump and Cruz, don’t let Carl Rove make suckers out of the both of you! Put aside pride and join together...please!
