I realize the Bible says to be nice to your enemies because "It will be akin to pouring hot coals on his head". Of course that assumes he has a conscience. We didn't win WWI and WWII with kindness/politeness - we carpet and A-Bombed them into submission. After that, we got into the kinder, gentler mode and haven't really won since.
