Trump should have kept the tone from election night.
Television is a cold medium. Politics is cold.
Trump is not looking at this as a character test. It is. He needs to stop tweeting and listen to his bright sons who will give him a clue.

Rush was explaining the other day that the Republicans don’t understand their own base.
I am beginning to think that Rush doesn’t understand his own audience.
He keeps up with his anti-Trump crap and his kissy-kissy affair with Rubio and I will turn off the radio like I did today, except permanently, like I did Levin. I don’t think I am alone.

If he continues on that track much longer, I will never listen to him again.
I stopped once for a few years when I got tired of him being a cheerleader for W. I tuned in to see what he was saying about W’s push for amnesty, and was shocked to see he was against it, so I continued listening. Now, looks like he has finally seen the light — sold his soul.

Trump needs to be careful to not give the appearance that he’s having a meltdown.
He had a lot of momentum coming off of that gracious tone, he should have capitalized on it.
Voters want to see how you handle the bad. It’s a character test.
