It’s interesting that Trump thinks he doesn’t need to do any of that icky ground game stuff.
I hope he’s right, but I agree that, if Rubio does well in NH, he’ll have the wind in his sails.
Does Trump still think that? The last couple days, he's been somewhat lamenting the fact that he did not do more in that regards, in Iowa.
Granted, he or his campaign people may have thought it wasn't worth it, and by the time it became evident it could be, it was too late.
OTOH, can Cruz maintain the intensity of his ground game in Iowa, through Super Tuesday? It seems unlikely, even if he is leaving Iowa with a fistful of $$. Those $$ don't compare remotely with what Trump could bring to bear, if he wished.
