The problem that the author doesn't address is that Trump is the guy with the highest unfavorability ratings in either party. He will hit a popularity ceiling before Cruz or Rubio would.

In short, it would appear from recent national polls that Cruz and Rubio are both more electable than Trump is.

My main objection to Rubio is that I don't think he is as reliable as Cruz is.
