NATO has gotten flabby, clumsy, lazy and partially deaf. Similar to the UN.
To: TigerClaws
Guess you can figure out who to thank for that.

If Russian tanks and troops rolled into the Baltics tomorrow, outgunned and outnumbered NATO forces would be overrun in under three days.
Especially if NATO troops are tied down in their own countries dealing with Muslims on the rampage.

I’m assuming their testing keeps it conventional.

Well, just look at a map. LOL. Too narrow. Consider logistics.
Putting more troops there would just put more troops at risk to being overrun.
A counterpunch by NATO from central Europe to drive them back would be wiser.

Weren’t the same questions asked as to whether NATO could stop the Soviets before they crossed the Rhine in West Germany?

Estonian capital of Tallinn or the Latvian capital of Riga within 36 to 60 hours.Sounds overly optimistic to me. I'll bet the Russians could be there in three and a half to six hours with advance units.

Well, of course. Who can afford to buy or maintain tanks, or train troops, when there are all sorts of gender bending and sexual justice issues to be fixed?
First things first!

In numerous tabletop war games played over several months between 2014-2015, Where has these people been for the past 30 years? How about using computers and off the shelf strategy games.

Any US forces stationed there should be named “Task Force Smith”.

It is called a ‘tripwire.’
The Sov, er, Russians attack the Baltic states, NATO troops die, and the Third General European War begins.

Neah.
More like Panzerblitz (Avalon Hills) or Firefight (SPI) but on a VERY large scale.
