He should have a role in the next administration. Bevin can be trusted to appoint a good replacement in the Senate.

I’m sure he’s disappointed, since he started running for President from the first moment he hit the Senate. It worked out for Obummer, but not him.

The big question, will the Paulbots now gravitate to Bernie?

Who?

The Fed is the mafia. They are so corrupt he realizes nothing will ever happen to them or you end up like JFK.

Rand Paul was probably the most intelligent person in both parties

You are entitled to your opinion ...but that's all it is.

Paul’s support of McConnell did him in, that and running around proclaiming how racist the judicial system is and how if he were elected he would release convicted drug felons. His point may have some merit but he painted the judicial system with too broad a brush that is not borne by the facts and Americans are tired of being called racist.

Thanks for your post. I always listened to him carefully in the debates because he clearly knew his Constitution and could articulate it well.

“Cruz picked up many of the libertarian voters by stressing his free market credentials, e.g. opposing ethanol subsidies. Free market capitalism is the libertarian position that most appeals to conservatives.”

I’m a Libertarian and I have a lot of friends that are also. We have all be huge supporters of Cruz for those reasons.

I don’t know about president but I’m proud to have Rand as my senator. Not good enough to counter balance that POS McConnell though.

I think that is the primary reason Paul never gained traction. Four years ago (and eight, for that matter) Ron Paul’s support came from college kids who, for whatever reason, stumbled upon the libertarian message and gave him a base of support because they liked what they heard. Now, the college kids have stumbled upon the socialist message of Bernie Sanders and like the idea of free everything. The two messages are polar opposites and Rand Paul missed the opportunity to cultivate his father’s following, allowing them to fall to the hammer and sickle, while he attempted to play Washington politics (supporting McConnell, for example).

The support that remains for Paul isn’t going socialist. It remains libertarian. Cruz will capture most, if not all, of Paul’s support because, among all of the remaining candidates, Cruz pushes constitutional restraint, states’ rights and individual liberty issues the most.

Cruz will gain another 3-5% on his poll numbers with Paul out of the race.

Rand was my number two, I hope he has a powerful voice for reform in the senate and that his buddy Mitch has less influence than the janitor.

Paul was one of only four US Senators to merit and “A+” from GUNOWNERS of AMERICA. That says quite a lot about the man.

According to ABC News published criteria:
1: Cruz, Trump, Rubio
2: Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Bush, Christie
3: Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Bush, Christie

So it looks as if the Debate on Saturday will be between:
Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Kasich, Bush, Christie

Seven on the stage. Carly is the only one still in the race who won’t be on the stage.

“”Paul was one of only four US Senators to merit and “A+” from GUNOWNERS of AMERICA. That says quite a lot about the man.””

Well there’s less than 1 percent of the population and probably less than 5 percent of the gun owners.

Paging Kasich, Bush, Santorum, Fiorina, Christie and Carson ... please pick up the white phone in the lobby. Reality is calling.

They drop out and the GOP establishment applauds, Rubio will get most of their support. Santorum the only conservative there has no support to give anyone.

The others support goes to Amnesty Pimp Rubio. Rubio will get the Koch and establishment money to fight Trump in a two man race.

I pick the guy who isn’t for Amnesty and cheap labor.
Rubio can’t even show up to vote in congress, he will be another first term Senator who never ran anything in his life, can’t even manage his own finances, may not be allowed to run constitutionally, and has a poor attendance record. Rubio sound like another Obama, inexperienced, first termer and doesn’t like to show up for work.

Go Trump Go
