Trump says in Iowa “I sort of just went through the motions.”

For real, or convenient excuse?

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

Trump was simply NOT going to get the vote of the committed Christians. They do not vote for womanizers no matter how much they talk the talk. It is a question of conscience which many will never understand.

I wonder if Cruz stole enough votes from Carson to put him over the top? Cruz won by 6k votes. Does anyone have any idea of how many votes Cruz got by spreading the false story that Carson was dropping out after Iowa?

what other candidates do 6:30 am interviews?

the man works 18 hours days for a living and has for over 40 years while the others live off their lifetime government paychecks sitting around doing nothing but running their mouths

if you really want something done don’t vote for politicians

Had he won we’d have not heard the end of it. As it was, he should realize that it’s only the fact that the field is so crowded that’s allowed him to appear substantial. Most conservatives clearly don’t want him. Polls showed that twice as many “very conservative” voters in Iowa were for Cruz. Polls also show Trump is the least like candidate in any party! That’s amazing considering that Hillary is part of that competition. How people believe he’s the best hope of conservatism is beyond me.

My thoughts were more like, “Which Apprentice episode relates to Iowa”

Trump is a decision maker, often relying upon advice from trusted advisors or family, but he does not jump onto any new venture with all his gear and clothes on, he is way smarter than that, he will let another company bid, win, fail by problems and then Trump will come in, take over, finish better, cheaper and faster.

Thats his strategy, i believe its workable even for elections.

Reality was hardly any $ spent and reported over and over that he had no ground game there. Seems real to me.

Mr. Trump should understand that what he did was WONDERFUL! He woke people up to the political process. He provided rallies that were fun, where people bonded, and aspired to a better life. He gave many kids the time of their lives with helicopter rides and running through his plane. He brought his NYC family and friends to Iowa where they actually experienced things with real people. He raised over $6 million dollars in less than 24 hours, made us all who contributed feel like part of the endeavor, and it's already getting to Veteran's groups where it will do the most good. He created a situation where the tail didn't wag the dog...ie: the media didn't write the narrative. He's created a situation where people are less afraid to say "politically incorrect" stuff.

He's giving the country a chance for four years when the pols can sort it out and begin to clean out the DC sewer while he solves things on the presidential level without masters who've bought his every deed.

Wow. And you know what else has happened? We've seen the dark side of the candidates who needed to be exposed. Sure do hope that exposure means voters will smarten up to them.

Is this what we need. A President that sort of just goes through the motions?
