They are negatively affected, but they don't realize it. The cost of goods and services, such as health care are greatly increased because of the illegals. Wages are negatively affected because of illegals. The value of the dollar is reduced by illegals. Purchasing power is reduced by illegals, and I could go on for an hour about the ill effects of an open border.

Sadly, I work with people who just don't care, as they are not immediately and directly impacted If they work, aren't they immediately and directly impacted by illegal immigration by definition? If they make enough to pay takes and buy insurance, they are subsidizing those who don't. If not, their wages are being drawn down by competition with illegals.
