So what is the naturalization process? Is there only one process? What defines this process?

"Naturalization" means applying to be recognized as a US citizen after birth. If you are a citizen at birth you do not need to do this. You are a natural citizen.

The application process is not complicated but does require certain residency requirements as well as educational criteria and a sworn oath to the US.
