A mosque is not a place of worship.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

The demolition of the church and mosque there was probably no church, and the "mosque" was simply where they stored the weapons.

Side effect of the refugee problem? Fears, based on the M.O. of previous attacks, that attacks would be launched from these facilities?
Stinks to lose a church building. Is there any provision for constructing a new one nearby?

I was generously assuming there was (maybe a look on Google Maps could scope it out better, by someone familiar with the territory). But it does seem odd — churches and mosques are often uneasy neighbors.

Given the likely approvals requried to allow this I very much doubt it was only an hours notice more likely several days and then when the dozers arrived a one hour notice that they were moving forward at a set time and weren’t kidding

Any write ups of the history of the area. What is the jungle reference about?

Round up the
migrants invading army, pack 'em in CONEX boxes, and ship 'em back to country of origin.
Normally, you kill invaders ... so this is downright merciful, even if they don't all survive the trip home.

The French have learned the American way of dealing with islam at a time when American leadership has lost its spine in such dealings.
