Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'

Donald Trump spent this morning doling out blame on Twitter for his Iowa loss.

'I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!' Trump tweeted.

He also pointed fingers at the media for now crowning his second place finish behind Ted Cruz a win.

'The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!' Trump wrote.

The usually Twitter-happy Donald Trump kept quiet for 15-plus hours in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses, where he was bested Cruz, but finally popped back online this morning to thank voters and spin his defeat.

'My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn't do well there and ended up in 2nd place,' Trump tweeted. 'Nice.'

'Because I was told I could not do well in Iowa, I spent very little there - a fraction of Cruz & Rubio. Came in a strong second,' Trump continued. 'Great honor.'

Trump is looking forward to New Hampshire, a state where his polling edge is in double digits, where he'll campaign tonight in Milford in a bid to bury his Iowa defeat.

'I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd,' he also tweeted.

The title has a really bad spelling error that needs cleanup.

Looks like he wants to take his ball and go home. Whine away Trump.

Maybe the voters don’t want a pandering, property grabbing, Reid & Pelosi loving idiot in the WH.

Since this was posted and the time you made your comment, the Daily Mail has revised the headline.

This thread is titled as the story was:

Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'

The headline was (and the text provided when it was run is still the thread text).

The Daily Mail is running this title now:

Donald Trump turns on Ted Cruz after being beaten in Iowa comparing victory speech to Howard Dean's notorious scream - after trolling voters for not giving him credit and slamming the media

MY intent was not to rag on you, nor was I offering any commentary on the subject, just pointing out the spelling.

Have a nice day!

Trump’s message for months was that he was #1 in all the polls. He was invincible, inevitable and anyone in second place or less was a loser. Now that message rings hollow.

Like a shark, Trump has/had to keep moving forward with success after success or that aura of invincibility would dissipate. Voters seemingly told each other and the Donald that he had no clothes.

I think we will have Cruz, Rubio and Trump going into the convention with none of them having 51%. The horse trading for votes to get the majority will be something that hasn’t been seen in a United States political convention since 1960 with Kennedy coming out the winner.

Better stock up on popcorn if yu are a political junkie.

Thank you.

I cut and pasted it into to the title line (and again at the top of the thread text, where Republican is spelled correctly) so I haven’t a clue how that change happened.

I did check the link and found the other change in title.

I like Trump, I plan on voting for him in the primary, I am in New Jersey, so we vote last, so it doesn’t matter anyways. But I will vote for him regardless.

Trolling=someone I don’t agree with

Sorry you finally met someone who doesn’t see the world 100% as you do

You do know there is a difference between hard money and soft money right?

Goldman Sacs donates “soft money”, like a million dollar “loan” that doesn’t need to be paid back.....

++8////////////////////What lies have I told about Cruz?

You: "Amnesty, TPP, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, Sitting US senator, bought and paid for, Canadian"

"Amnesty"-Just wrong

"TPP"-hasn't even been voted on

"Goldman Sachs"-Oooh, His wife has a job. And the loan was from his own account.

"Canadian"-Nope

"bought and paid for" -Let's see your proof or it's a lie.

"Citibank"-What?

He is a senator. You're right on that.

Bought and paid for is easy, he begs for money and has super pacs raising millions of dollars, remember, people donating that kind of money want something in return... Its like an investment

Amnesty, well he was for before he was against it, we can just leave that as that

Immigration, against a wall before Donald made it cool, now he wants a wall too.

Goldman Sachs, a poison pill for anyone except Cruz, because he is “special”

Canadian, Yes, he was born in Canada, even had Canadian citizen ship before he gave it up

One would think the sound advice you give Trump here would be a given in their campaign.

I think that's a myth that Red Hampshirites have allowed themselves to believe.
