Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'

Donald Trump spent this morning doling out blame on Twitter for his Iowa loss.

'I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!' Trump tweeted.

He also pointed fingers at the media for now crowning his second place finish behind Ted Cruz a win.

'The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!' Trump wrote.

The usually Twitter-happy Donald Trump kept quiet for 15-plus hours in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses, where he was bested Cruz, but finally popped back online this morning to thank voters and spin his defeat.

'My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn't do well there and ended up in 2nd place,' Trump tweeted. 'Nice.'

'Because I was told I could not do well in Iowa, I spent very little there - a fraction of Cruz & Rubio. Came in a strong second,' Trump continued. 'Great honor.'

Trump is looking forward to New Hampshire, a state where his polling edge is in double digits, where he'll campaign tonight in Milford in a bid to bury his Iowa defeat.

'I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd,' he also tweeted.

Trump should focus on the issues that got him here .... but he can’t. He cannot.

Because he is a man-child and it was never about anything but him.

He’d already named the White House Trump Towers Two and nobody better try and take that away from him.

I see you having nothing negative to say about Rubio. Is he your Plan C candidate?

Trump has accepted $2.6 million in small donations. Do you want him to give back the $5+ to each donor? If so you are an idiot and quite unreasonable.

But that won’t stop you from smearing Trump with lies and innuendos.

Yeah, just like you do with Cruz.

And do you really think that career politicians can cut big government? Do they respect "other peoples' money"? We are $19 Trillion in debt. Who do you think will have the experience to get rid of Departments/Agencies? Who will have the guts to fire thousands of federal employees? Who understands balance sheets, liabilities, credits and debits? Who will order audits of the executive branch and understand the results? YOUR beloved career politicians?

Bottom line: The people hate politicians and would like to vote for outsiders that are not influenced by big money Super Pacs.

On the other hand when we have the opportunity to elect a self funding non-politician, they are amateur politicians who make mistakes so we find realized that the electorate, in reality, is OK voting for those politicians in the end.

Two things being affirmed:

1. Every country has the government it deserves.

2. Mr. Smith goes to Washington is a fiction.

The job of the kingmakers is to get Rubio and Clinton into the general election.

They care not about the outcome of the general, their future is assured either way.

One last thing, Cruz will never be the nominee, Trump is may fade in the end.

You're not going to cut spending by putting those in power who gave us ObamaCare, and then promise that everybody gets free healthcare.

You're not going to cut the pork by promises to ethanol lobbyists to RAISE subsidies.

You ask who will shrink bloated government and rid the deadweight of federal agencies...That's right, Ted Cruz!

Thank you for your thoughts here. It’s so clear that I’m stunned the ‘intelligent ones’ here just can’t see it.

What I’m curious about is why did Rush show his hand so quickly today? Claiming Rubio is NOT GOPe is revealing to me.

THIS has me more unnerved than all the other background noise.

You really don’t get it do you?

Wow, no wonder the GOPe keeps steamrolling you.

It’s a game, learn the rules and try to get ahead of it.

Pumping Rubio up ALL over the place does not equal
a GOPe lose.

Cruz is the tool in this game, sorry to see he fell for it.
I truly believed he was smarter than that.

It is your right to feel whatever. Positive would be posting some good things about other candidates since you find no redeeming Trump qualities. Just not constant Trump bashing like a broken record.
