I don’t begrudge Cruz his win, but at what cost? The rest of the campaign will show if he too is a man of high ethics or if he will do whatever it takes to win.

Politics ain't tiddly winks.

Did Cruz force Dr. Carson to suspend his campaign for a book tour?

Were any laws broken?

Besides where did Cruz lie?

Carson aledges that teams Team Cruz told folks caucusing for Carson that Carson was dropping out after Iowa. "Do not waste your vote on a candidate that is dropping out". There appears to be creditable evidences that Carson is correct.

Yup. If the situation were reversed, people would be going batshit crazy. At this point, between the mailers and this issue, I have learned a lot about Cruz’s character. He plays dirty, just like the democrats. Maybe we need that to win in November.

[It is Carson’s responsibility to run an active, engaged campaign that leaves no doubt in his supporters minds about his commitment.]

WHY WOULD HE SUPPORTERS EVEN THINK HE WAS DROPPING OUT?
Could it be that he was AWOL during the caucuses? Could it be he is more interested in book signings than running for POTUS?

Cruzs’ job is to clear a path for Rubio by sucking votes from Trump. Just like Santorium sucking votes from Newt in 2012 cleared a path for Romney.

CNN had reported that Carson was going home after Iowa and was not going to NH or SC. It was not a big leap of logic to assume that meant he was dropping out. You can blame the Cruz people for getting it wrong (but then apparently so did Fox and CNN initially), but it is hardly dirty politics, lying or cheating to tell Carson's supporters what is being reported by the news media and ask for their vote.

Carson has Noone but himself to blame. He decided to fly home before the Iowa caucuses was even over and take some R&R abandoning his troops in the field. The media caught wind of this and reported this very unusual behavior. Cruz supporters made sure that everyone at the caucus knew about the breaking news story. There is no scandal or dirty tricks here at all just sour grapes.

Ben should start a rumor that Cruz never renounced his Canadian citizenship and a court is ordering he be disqualified. All’s fair in love and war.

Obama campaigned using dirty tricks and was also a freshman Senator with a questionable citizenship. Hmmmmm.....

See that works both ways. Cruz and Trump better learn how to keep Rubio down or they both will lose.

Could be an honest mistake. Maybe he really did think Carson had suspended his campaign? After his performance in the debate it’d be easy to conclude that.

So going home to change clothes and regroup before back on the campaign trail = “Carson is dropping out after this vote. Don’t waste your vote!” ********************************************

No, he said he was going home to Florida, and he did it in the middle of the caucus. He said later that he was going home to get clean clothes. Really, they have no laundromats or dry cleaners in NH?

He has no one to blame but himself for his strange behavior.

Maybe we need that to win in November.

Maybe, but to govern you need a mandate from the people and the people trust. You don't get either by lying and playing dirty. But if just winning so you can reward donors and friends is the goal then you've found your candidate.
