Sorry I have not read Trumps books. The point is that a lie is a lie and to claim oneself has higher values than others and then will lie, makes the one claiming superior values the hypocrite.
As you have pointed out Trump admits who he is. Cruz cannot admit who he is. And God said he hates liars, most especially those that claim His name...
Now the evangelicals have a primary win in Iowa, is there any chance Iowa will flip to voting Republican come November? I do not see Cruz carrying Iowa, it does seem the liberals will make hay over his dirty campaign tricks and ending the state subsidy ethanol... And there is that eligibility burden Cruz is carrying.
