That fact that Rubio came in a close third is not a good thing. The Establishment and MSM will close ranks behind him now. He is just Bush warmed over.

The first 2 were around 50% and in the eyes of their supporters the two anti amnesty candidates. Rubio does probably continues to do well so long as the two leaders split that vote. On the other hand just like i don’t think a great many Sanders supporters will vote for Hillary in the general Rubio faces the same challenge on this side of the fence. If it became Rubio vs Sanders one could argue Sanders would be the tougher one on illegals. He’s said plenty about protecting American workers.
I might at that point go to sleep for the next 4 years.
