Rubio’s best counties, and his only wins, were Story County (ISU), Johnson County (University of Iowa), Polk County (Drake University in Des Moines), Dallas County (the western Des Moines suburbs) and my Scott County which went Rubio/Trump/Cruz although only 0.6% between first and third. My precinct wasn’t as close, Rubio 171, Trump 100, Cruz 83 out of 435 total. Cruz managed to narrowly beat Rubio in Black Hawk County in spite of UNI, but the above counties suggest that Rubio (NOT my candidate) does the best of the GOP 3 with college voters. For whatever that’s worth.
Umm so what?
I really don’t care what bookies think, I am not a gambling type of person and don’t look at it as evidence of anything. Other then people like to lose their hard earned money.
In reality, the victory didn’t really change much of anything other than gave Rubio an unexpected bump.

Trump is not going to go to a 2 pt lead by next week. I’m talking down the road like the SEC where many others will have dropped out. When you get to only two or three candidates the numbers will tighten. They have to.
I support both Trump and Cruz for different reasons. So either way, it was a good night for me. I do think (unless something changes) that Trump will get the nomination. This is my first post but I have been reading (and donating) for a few years. This vitriol has been a bummer to read for a few weeks. If Cruz took it, well, he was my original choice anyway.

As long as Trump maintains his leads in NH and SC, Super Tuesday will swing strongly Trump and he’ll remain the favorite for the nomination.
The problem is going to be if the GOP-e rallies behind amnesty schmuck Rubio.

Heck, we had all better be on the same team when the Republican Nominee is chosen. I’m not sure many here can take the vitriol (hence my Tagline) for much longer. Let’s hope Super Tuesday ends it, but I have my doubts.
Just pointing out that anyone who just dismisses the NBC issue for both Cruz and Rubio is whistling past the Graveyard.
The DemoncRats will go after that issue with either of them.
