(MIRROR UK) – The Zika virus outbreak currently gripping the Americas could have been sparked by the release of genetically modified mosquitoes in 2012, critics say. The insects were engineered by biotechnology experts to combat the spread of dengue fever and other diseases and released into the general population of Brazil in 2012. But with the World Health Organisation(WHO) now meeting in Geneva to desperately discuss cures for the Zika virus, speculation has mounted as to the cause of this sudden outbreak. The Zika virus was first discovered in the 1950s but the recent outbreak has escalated alarmingly, causing birth defects and a range of health problems in South and central America...

Jesus Christ made an important prophesy about the last days before the "rapture event" (the event that precedes his second coming where He sends His angels to gather the elect from the earth prior to judgment). He said that in those days it would be similar to the days of Noah, people would be marrying and giving in marriage. But Jesus does not indicate that people will be having children. This is a strange omission, unless people consider what the United Nations and elites of the world openly want to accomplish. Through population control efforts, the leadership of the world (United Nations and the Elites) want to depopulate the planet by 90%. With the new revelation of genetically engineered mosquitoes (funded by the Gates Foundation) spreading the Zika Virus causing babies to be born with deformities, we may be witnessing the start of world wide population control. In most countries stricken by Zika, abortion and birth control are being encouraged...however coercive measures may be coming...

Instead of using DDT to eradicate mosquito's, they go and genetically modify mosquito's that mate with the native mosquito's. They created a monster.

I’ve read a couple of articles on this and none have identified just who these biotechnology experts are or where they hail from. Sneaking suspicion here that the US is up to its eyeballs in this.

Genetically modifying plants and animals and then releasing them into nature is foolish and immoral. There is no way to know what consequences might result that are irreversible! They may be responsible for injuring or killing millions of people.

Agreed, it is one thing to use a native species to take out another native species (lady bugs killing aphids)but to change the genetic makeup of a species and introduce it into the environment is criminal

The city trucks would come by when I was playing along the side of the street spraying for mosquito's. All I as a result after playing in the spray was some Stinky clothes.

I was also wondering why they don’t just do a tightly controlled spraying of DDT in the areas where the problem originates-as long as it is monitored, any harm that may be possible would be minimized-I’m not sure it is that harmful anyway...

When I was a kid and my dad was stationed on a base in a tropical area, in the evening all the kids used to wrap dish towels and stuff around our mouths and noses and run barefooted behind the truck spraying DDT, getting enveloped in the spray-we thought it would keep the mosquitos off us. I know plenty of other people-even out here in BFE-who were military brats and did the same-we are healthy and working-so if the s*** is so dangerous, shouldn’t we all be dead or disabled by now?

The aim was to release only male Aedes mosquitoes into the wild and they would in turn produce offspring with their virus carrying female counterparts.
