The mayor should have been eating his won teeth within seconds after the “don’t provoke them” remark. Historically speaking, provoking Germans or Europeans in general (you know, the people whose ancestors spent the last five hundred years conquering and reinventing this planet) is what the world ought to be careful to avoid.

yes my Palatine German ancestors didn’t put up with English speaking men from Albany trying to drive them off their Schorie County farms...they met them with guns and threats..

but that was 300 years ago...

Historically hit the nail on the head. You can’t kill millions of your best and brightest in World Wars and expect what is left to be worth a damn. Germany, Britain, France, Russia, wiped out their future.
