You and I were thinking precisely the same thing. The woman is very lucky to have escaped with her life merely for having a different opinion.
The days of Officer Friendly are gone and one is far more likely to encounter a steroid-pumping, head-shaved, and power-hungry thug in blue.

Maybe not, but he could easily have arrested her for interfering with an officer - and the charges would have stuck no matter what her motives were.

A little bit of hyperbole on your part - but in general, you are correct.

LEO’s do not like being questioned - not by anyone. They answer to no one really.

Florida LEO’s seem to have this “Shoot first - maybe we’ll ask questions later” mentality. This woman is lucky she wasn’t “perceived” by the LEO to have been a “threat” against him.
