It does not make any difference who you are, what you believe in, or how impressive your conservative credentials are... if you have not pledged your allegiance to Ted Cruz... you will be attacked by Cruz supporters and accused of not being a “true” conservative. There are no exceptions. Period.
Today will be Rush to destroy Trump. He will not discuss Cruz mailer, he will not discuss Cruz lies. But destroy Trump.
I'm sorry, but have you seen the number of conservatives that have been thrown under the Trump bus for being less than supportive of him? Tom Sowell, all of NR, Mark Levin, etc. So both sides have done their share of excommunicating conservatives.
The only ones I accuse of not being conservative are the ones defending Trump's love of government healthcare, his support of government mandates, and his love of unconstitutional executive actions. Those are all positions that were vehemently opposed when Obama supported them, but now seem to be in vogue because Trump supports them.
Are you seriously trying to say that Trump is a true conservative? It's one thing if you're supporting him, but surely you know that he's more progressive than conservative, right?
I'm curious. If Trump doesn't win the nomination, what GOP nominee would you not be willing to vote for?
