I agree, and neither is Cruz, not even close. He’s even less so than Trump.
Cruz not smooth like Reagan, Trump, or Obama, I fully agree.
Substantively, however, Cruz is conservative like Reagan.
And I will take substance over style.
Not so convincing about Ted Cruz.
Being conservative only works if you can actually point to accomplishments. Cruz has few if any, Trump has many.
That doesn’t even make sense.
Just for example:
Cruz (as lawyer for Texas) won:
Medellin v. Texas at the U.S. Supreme Court against 90 foreign nations and Obama to ensure the supremacy of U.S. legal system against encroachment by international treaties and rulings of the “World Court.”
District of Columbia v. Heller where the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a ban on firearms in a 5-4 landmark decision — where the holding was FINALLY that the second amendment preserved an individual right to keep and bear arms.
Defended Hobby Lobby against Obama in Obamacare (on abortion coverage).
Those are a lot bigger deals than B-tier New Jersey casinos.
Like I said, few if any.
Cruz has been great at making a career of living off the taxpayers in elective or appointive office, however.
Saving the second amendment is more important than anything Trump has ever done.
How many people has Cruz employed? How many businesses has he created? How many jobs has he created?
Zero, unless you count government jobs. He may have set up a few, using taxpayer money of course.
Let’s face it, Cruz is a creature of government.
