Ted Cruz Defiant on Iowa Mailer: ‘I Will Apologize To Nobody’

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz is remaining defiant amid criticism regarding his controversial mailer, saying that he will "apologize to nobody."

The Cruz campaign sent a flyer out to Iowa voters, that resembled a government document, which read "VOTING VIOLATION." The flier included names, grades, and percentage scores for each voter.

"Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record," reads the flier sent to voters. "Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses."

Cruz, however, is not apologizing for the mailer.

"I will apologize to nobody for using every tool we can to encourage Iowa voters to come out and vote," Cruz told reporters in Iowa.

Does not play well with others. Hard to govern in a representative form of government when you are pure and unapologetic in all cases.

Even with this, some cruisers here will deny he did it.

Not a good move on either counts IMHO. I’d say how he handles this determines whether he can stay in the race or not.

Love him or hate him, Trump has ushered in the era of no apologies.

Perhaps the demise of the limp PC apologists is indeed at hand.

Seriously, I don’t care one way or the other—but am I being asked to lambaste a political candidate for not apologizing about something?

The Cruz campaign sent a flyer out to Iowa voters, that resembled a government document, which read "VOTING VIOLATION." The flier included names, grades, and percentage scores for each voter.

Anyone with an IQ over 75 would immediately realize this was not a government document. The remainder who thought it was a government document has no business voting, anyway.

If one is a registered Republican voting in the primaries is important. Its how Cantor was defeated.

Good strategy for Cruz. This is how to alert how important voting in the primaries is

He is trying the no apology Trump maneuver, but it just doesn’t work for Cruz...

You are right-— this is why I am against this method— should be illegal— we don’t want to encourage dumbasses to vote...

Yeah I’m a strong Cruz man but I question whether he can pull this off in the same manner. His attack on the moderators in the last debate wasn’t effective either, at least not to me, and I kind of see this the same way.
