Maybe it's not missing the debate that helped Trump. Perhaps what he did instead is what helped. All that money raised for Veterans, and it's going to small groups that will get it directly to Veterans who are in need.

Combine that positive outcome with Cruz's performance which showed he's not the great debater he was claimed to be and the dark, threatening "shaming" mailing, and you've got a perfect storm.

Just a thought. Cruz was out front with Trump not there. Did Trump suspect that if wasn't there, Cruz wouldn't hold up to the pressure?

I have to say, in this poll, Trump is leading the combined numbers of the next four put together. Wow! Cruz seems to be crashing, but Rubio getting nothing out of it, and actually dropping below Carson again. Just wow. What a weird year.

This may be the death of conservatism.

And I am very impressed with Donald’s numbers, even though not a Trump supporter (I’m against Big Washington Government, no matter who is in charge of it). I just can’t get my head around why Donald is so popular (I get that he’s popular as an entertainer, but slick how he can parlay that into political support so easily.

The only thing is, polls have been very wrong in Iowa before, I’m hoping that happens again.
