Chris is promoting Obamacare. Cruz answered it extremely well.

Wish he would have asked him about the birther issue. Cruz never answers that question and just leaves it hanging.

I’m praying for that, too. However, US based corporations are getting CEOs from overseas, so they’ll ruin US companies, too.

Interesting comment - repeated ad nauseum by Little man Mickey regarding 13 million new jobs, while totally refusing to acknowledge that today the total number of employed is as low as in 1977.

Fairy fails do come true Mickey - YEB will be president.

Fox news - as always just another propaganda outlet - Fair an balanced - not so much

“I’ve got no info on this save my gut because no way does a front-running candidate drop out of a debate because of ....Megyn Kelly?”

Trump has said repeatedly that Megyn Kelly wasn’t the reason he dropped out. He didn’t like the snotty memo that Fox News put out, mocking him for having a Twitter poll on whether he should attend the debate or not.

It is going to be interesting to watch the dynamic as the media starts to learn that he might win. And if he does, it will not be business as usual with the press.

I'm not saying Trump is a Reagan, but what you said above reminds me very much of early 1980 through the rest of the campaign. By the time Reagan made his big speech on Labor Day in front of the Statue of Liberty, the press had really changed their meme.

Watch Ronald Reagan's (strong looking with his tie-less white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up) premier campaign speech here.

Reagan skewers the press, and appeals to democrats--that is, honest Americans who vote democrat because it was tradition. But these same people were/are getting screwed over by democrat politicians promoting diversity AGAINST them, voting to ship their jobs overseas or give them to illegal aliens, tearing down our country and traditions every way they can, and other such nonsense.

That was Reagan's winning strategy, just to point these things out to folks, and I strongly believe if done in 2016, it will work well again!

You have to wonder why anyone would run for high office. The MSM is brutal and spreads falsehoods faster than they can be refuted. Of course if you happen to be a rat, the entire atmosphere is radically different.

Ted’s mom was an American...if my wife (ancestors came over in 1700s) was pregnant and we went to Canada and she gave birth, the baby would still be an American.

Chris loves the tactic of asking a question and then interrupting 10 seconds into the answer. How about letting the person answer your question?

Queen Noor was an American and gave birth to a direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammed.

Thank you so much, AB!

I’ve already read every wonderful post on the first page including Bray’s magnificent essay.

Cruz’s interview was just aired on STATE OF THE UNION. Nothing new. I’m TIVOing MTP but might stop watching STATE OF THE UNION unless it offers more.

Marco the Rube up now.

Wallace was very polite and deferential to Trump. I guess he had orders from Roger Ailes. I agree he was very rude to Cruz.

Nobody is questioning if he is a citizen, the question is if he is a Natural Born Citizen which means born in America on American soil. There are exclusions for US bases and Ambassadors out of country or receive a Senate waiver, but you have to be NBC to be President.

I just wish he would lay it out and explain it. As a Constitutional lawyer he should explain it.

I noticed that as well. Totally confrontational with Cruz and Mr. Polite with Trump. These cats are blatant with their bias.

Wallace questions to Trump:
* what about the new polls?
* what do you say to voters who think you snubbed them by not being in OUR debate?
* what about what Cruz said about why you skipped debate (hiding record from voters)? (Trump back on the loans and citizenship thing)
* what about your donations to Clinton Foundation (Trump says Clintons spent poorly; that was a chance to hit Hillary that Trump missed)
* what about evangelicals support getting better? (nice softball) BUT then a question about gay marriage (some substance: Trump prefers states decide and will consider appointing judges)
* what about Ivanka’s baby?

The only “issue” was gay marriage. Important, but how about more substance: ISIS, the GNP, immigration, debt, the unemployed, looming recession?

Fox is supposed to be the conservative network?

Which is why Trump walking away from the debate changes the dynamic. He smelled a trap and said no deal and they were begging him right up to the debate and it never hurt him. It most likely helped.

“Looks like some of the patriots at FOX tipped off Trump.”

That was my suspicion as soon as we saw the Rubio and Cruz video gotchas. Donald used Megan as a thin excuse, and then the unprofessional fox memo as reasons for bailing. Cruz is smart and my #1 but Trumpy is savvy and not easily fooled.

I wish I felt more comfortable with what Donald would do with so many critical issues...like judges, which will affect the country as much or more as immigration ...in the long run.
