We are all sinners in need of grace, and grace is given to all who will accept it (some refuse).
Some believers’ stories end up being long ones, dating to well before the day of actual profession of the Savior (mine was like that). These prevenient grace stories share some characteristics, such as providence, benevolence and sincerity, which even then stand out above the world.
God is not a cookie cutter God and Christians are not cookie cutter Christians. One failing of modern evangelicalism is to try to cookie-cutterize faith. That may be in part responsible for why so many splinters. Here, this group gets the stars, and that group gets the hearts, and another group gets the diamonds, etc. Fault the Catholic and Orthodox traditions for much, but not for that.
Anyhow, end of rant.

If libbylu wants to come back, I’m sure all she will need to do is ask. After 18 years here, kicking her out permanently seems like overkill.

BlackFemaleArmyCaptain was banned along with another poster for spamming the Admin Mod after being told to stop. She didn’t rant out. Her spamming was scripture. It was silly.
I try not to be mean; I admit to losing my way occasionally. I am very happy.
That said, I resent, and I mean resent deep deep deep in my bones the occasional implication that I am not conservative, unAmerican... and worst of all, Un-Christian, for supporting a political candidate that someone else may not like.
Self righteous holier-than-thou types who preach to me, hinting that my salvation is at risk if I don't do what they say... that really frosts my backside.
People who act like that run people away from Christianity far more than they attract them. It's why I left organized religion more than 10 years ago, electing to read, study, and worship on my own. Every time I make the attempt to find a church home, I'm reminded of why I don't need one.

You could make it easier by just being what Jesus wants you to be.
Which, yes, would also if possible mean to show your shining face at a church congregation. But from a different perspective. He didn’t nominate the church to judge you, nor you to judge the church, except inasmuch as opportunities are legitimately found to edify. The attitude shouldn’t be gotcha, but how can I help.

Frankly I’ll take the eff bombs before that, if the person otherwise has his head on straight.
I was so irritated by being driven off of threads by angry Cruz posters that I took time off and avoided FR.
I had even asked management to intercede and bring order but that never happened and then a poster one day talked about the Sundance blog and after a few reads I was hooked on the accuracy of the information and the moderator that kept the Cruz trolls at bay.
I was also annoyed that the Cruz posters seldom were on the list of donors to help Jim with this site. If anyone should donate it certainly should have been cw, LL and all their friends.

Well, there is also the “Suspended” tag. Suspensions can be anywhere from a week to a longer period of time. ;-)
