Rubio tells Iowans: Ted Cruz is running a 'very deceitful campaign'
The Washington Examiner ^ | 1/30/2016 | RYAN LOVELACE

Florida Sen. Marco swung at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Iowa on Saturday morning for running a "very deceitful campaign" ahead of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.

Rubio told the crowd he would unite the warring factions of the Republican Party and sought to strike a contrast between himself and Cruz.

"Look, this is the last minute of the campaign, this is where desperation kicks in," Rubio told the crowd gathered in northwestern Iowa. "Ted Cruz has been my friend and is. He's decided to run a very deceitful campaign at the end. Some of the things he's saying, people see through that."

Minutes after Rubio slammed Cruz, the Florida senator's presidential campaign sent out a fundraising pitch asking for donations of "$5 or more right now to ensure I can fight back and answer Ted Cruz's attacks."

"Ted Cruz's campaign and his super PAC can say whatever they want about me and my campaign, but the truth is this: I am the only candidate for President who has the conservative vision to win the nomination AND beat Hillary Clinton," Rubio's fundraising pitch reads. "Their attacks are ridiculous at best, but Friend, we must respond right away to show we aren't going to allow the Cruz campaign to tear down my campaign. While Ted Cruz's campaign is busy trying to defeat me, I am on the campaign trail talking with Americans about how we can undo the wrongs Barack Obama has done to our nation."

Rubio and Cruz are both campaigning in western Iowa on Saturday. Rubio ranks third in the Washington Examiner's newest GOP presidential power rankings. Cruz ranks second.

I would not be shocked if Rubio comes in second in Iowa.

Cruz has made a lot of mistakes down the homestretch.

From the guy who deceive the voters of Florida to get elected and then schemed with Schumer to give the country away.

Rubio is correct. Cruz is not what he seems, Senator Palpatine comes to mind. That being said, Rubio is a snake oil salesman and fraud in his own right. Love the usual political speak “Ted is a friend of mine but”. All the more reason we need to MAGA with Trump!

I’m not sticking up for Rubio, (he’s next on the GOPe’s listing try and take Trump out) but here is something I found that might interest some people:

Iowa Election Law, on intimidation
On page 82

39A.2 Election misconduct in the first degree.
1. A person commits the crime of election misconduct in the first degree if the
person willfully commits any of the following acts:
…
c.Duress. Intimidates, threatens, or coerces, or attempts to intimidate, threaten, or coerce, a person to do or to refrain from doing any of the following:

(1) To register to vote, to vote, or to attempt to register to vote.

(2) To urge or aid a person to register to vote, to vote, or to attempt to register to vote.

(3) To sign a petition nominating a candidate for public office or a petition requesting an election for which a petition may legally be submitted.

(4) To exercise a right under chapters 39 through 53
(WWWDOT)legis.iowa.gov/docs/ElectionLaws/ElectionLaws.pdf

Ted Cruz should know better. Remember he is a lawyer.

The text reads:

“You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors’ are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday’s caucuses”.

See the threat? “A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday’s caucuses” If you don’t vote we will tell your neighbors….

The envelope is even worse and a very clear threat.
It says
ELECTION ALERT
VOTER
VIOLATION

Everybody MUST read the shaming letter. What people need to realize is (1)it's been authenticated and (2)the letter includes information about their neighbors voting records!

The Cruz campaign is stooping to a level not seen since the party elite stole the primary runoff for Cochran. It's disgusting.

Has there ever been such a spontaneous overnight outcry about something online? The common reaction is to start at disbelief and then proceed quickly to disgust.

I no longer even trust Cruz with delegates!

Fox News has been bringing on wack-job leftists like Richard Dreyfus today to bash Cruz and Trump.

Rubio could very well come in second in Iowa. Which would open the door wide for the GOPe. Monday night is going to be very interesting indeed.

Nah. I'm not talking about their character or positions; that's not what I meant.

Just from a clinical standpoint, Cruz has made a lot of errors at the end of the Iowa campaign. A whole lot.

I still think the worst was poor strategy and planning for the debate. It was his moment to shine, and he fell flat.

Then this potential weekend game-changer with the mailer. That's getting widespread unfavorable exposure on social media, blogs, and lesser-known media. If that hits the mainstream, it's really bad. Really bad.
