Sowell points out that Trump makes up crap on the fly to get attention and has no real philosophical moorings. HE will turn on conservatives in a second for his PERSONAL gain.
What personal gain? Donald Trump is taking a pay cut to run for President. You are expecting to be betrayed because that is what Republicans do to their voters. So if Donald Trump betrays us it will only mean he is a conventional Republican. That doesn’t seem likely.
