It is actually very easy to understand. Cruz is not NBC and not qualified to be POTUS. Canada maybe, but not the US.
Ted Cruz is to Reagan as the lightning bug is to the lightning.
“Exactly the kind of person FR & the masses have been crying for all these past 7 years, we have a Conservative Champion and FR wants to reject him.....hard to understand that.”
Agree 100%. It seems like it’s all about personality and vague promises for the Trumpsters. Here’s a guyTed Cruz, who has consistently stood up for federalism, small government, and individual liberty at the expense of his own popularity among his colleagues. And another guy who has spread money all over the democrat party to serve his own interests and supported the Kelo decision. Where are his core principles? Oh, who cares - he’s brash and funny and probably has a great crease in his pants....I think I feel a thrill up my leg.
I noticed that, too. The negative side of campaigns has become a depressing feature of FR.
Can this guy vote in Iowa? Does Cruz get even one vote from this?
Because you can't spend years and years talking about being constitutionalists, and then throw it all away by supporting a guy who isn't even constitutionally qualified for the office for which he is running.
The thing I like about Cruz and Trump is that they don’t apologize for telling the truth, but I like Cruz better.
A gentle reminder of President Ronald Reagan, who was the essence of love for his fellow Americans, dignity, wisdom, knowledge and a beautiful, self-deprecating sense of humor.

No, Ted Cruz acknowledges that for over forty years he was a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. The question remains: can a natural-born Canadian also be a natural-born American?
Yes, it is.
Yes, if he/she is also a natural-born citizen of the United States of America, like Cruz.
BTW, Cruz gave up his Canadian citizenship a few years ago.
I am sad about the total void of leadership in the GOP, the only party I have ever been registered with in my entire life. But Cruz, while he is a good junior senator and perhaps a potential Supreme Court justice, doesn’t belong in the Oval Office and moreover has no hope of ever getting there. Just face it.
There is no doubt that Ted Cruz is a natural-born Canadian: born in Canada to a naturalized Canadian father. The question is: can you be a natural-born citizen of two countries at the same time?
Still, we have this conundrum - Ted Cruz may, in fact be a better President, overall, than just about anybody else out there. Presently, Ted Cruz is NOT President, and the objective is to MAKE him President.
There are several obstacles to realizing this outcome. One is Donald Trump, who at the moment seems to have an impressive lead in the polls, a lead that shall not be verified until some actual binding votes are taken. Another is a large inertia of formed opinions among many who are unfamiliar with the principles and ideals that Ted Cruz intends to reactivate and articulate as his platform for restoration of the America which was once the premier and most admired nation in the world. A third is the continuous sniping concerning some rather snarky and biased impressions being bandied about that Ted Cruz is not a “real” American. And lastly is the truly vicious and snarling opposition to be faced in the general election, provided Ted Cruz even gets nominated for the Presidency, from the Current Regime, well noted for their sometimes extralegal and always ruthless means by which they maintain control of information and influence in that territory once known as “the United States of America”, like a Mafioso fiefdom.
But even Al Capone finally got sent to prison. Eliot Ness got the goods on Capone, not through all the other overt crimes, but through fraudulent income tax reports.
We need another Eliot Ness to keep hammering at the criminal enterprise that constitutes the Current Regime.
Read it again. You stopped too soon. Born of US citizens is not enough. There are TWO provisions that follow in that 1790 law.
Can you cite any serious legal authority who agrees with you?
I have read it plenty of times. It specifies that citizenship descends through the father. Frozen into the Constitution for purposes of qualifying for the presidency.
If only. But I somehow doubt it.
The obvious stands out I guess.
Until I hear some specifics from Trump on what he would do on certain things, I’m leaving him and voting for Cruz. We vote in the primaries in one month, Mar 1. I need to know what he has in mind for healthcare, taxes, and a whole lot more.. specifics, not broad suggestions
By this time in the process, I need to know more than “make America great”. His great may not suit my ideas of great.
I’ve been a Trump voter all this time.. and it’s time he gave us some specifics or I can’t cast that vote for Trump. It’s nitty gritty time. And besides all that, I’m fed up with the fighting and hard hitting attacks. Lies and exaggerations.... Enough already!
