The fact remains, he took care of the vets. The Cruz backers did not.

Leaving money on the table has nothing to do with giving, it has everything to do with walking away from a deal and not GETTING the best deal that he could have gotten. He could have gotten an extra $1.5 million for the vets and he turned it down. Simple, really.
