Speaking of personal character I have yet to see Ted Cruz caress the face of veteran with no arms or walk out into the audience to have a personal conversation with a vet and then have his staff jump on the VA and get the guys problems worked out within a couple of weeks.
Haven’t seen Cruz raising any money for anybody but Cruz. I have seen his shaming letter though and that definitely speaks to character.
But let's face it. If there is one thing Mr. Trump knows how to do, it is how to promote Donald Trump. He has had plenty of practice.
Sure people get warm fuzzies over this, but that was the intent, that people get warm fuzzies while thinking of "The Donald" doing something nice for veterans' causes.
What he did, though, was avoid some tough questioners and do an end run around electoral business.
Let's not forget that, even while giving credit where credit is due for the fundraiser.
