I’ve always liked that one. Annie Leibovitz caught my good side.

We’ve had a very pleasant winter here on the Texas coast.

Eddie Calvo actually endorsed Cruz yesterday so.....

He is my governor
Under his administration Guam has gone from being bankrupt to running a surplus.

He has tripled the size of the police and fire department (Law and Order guy)

He is a devout Catholic who has only been married once.

He is pro military.

He is a double minority; Hispanic and Chamorro which would defuse the racism charge.

He is a shorter guy so he’d make Trump look really tall.

He has worked to change the Micronesia Compact that lets loin cloth wearing cavemen from little islands move to Guam and sign up for welfare.

Like Barry Goldwater he was born in a US territory not a state but that is better than being born in Canada

Actually, it has been fairly nice up here, too. Only a few weeks of subzero weather so far. Chinook winds brought a mid winter thaw, too.

Let me give that some thought.

I’ll be honest. It would be an uphill thing for me.

Calvo hasn’t been on my radar and I haven’t contemplated a governor from Guam before. It’s an interesting question, but I’m not prepared to give you a definitive answer at this point.

I’ll bookmark your comments and come back to it.

Please understand there is some humor included in the suggestion

Guam has a population of less than 200,000 so the Governor’s administration is equivalent to being the mayor of a large suburb. with a military base

I think it will be someone like Abbott or Sessions.

I wasn’t sure of the exact population, but I realized it was small.

The humor part of it, I can understand. I don’t know you and I didn’t want to offend you

I appreciate the mention. I agree with your take on what is likely to be more the course of action.

They should send a letter that says that if they don’t vote for Cruz, they will be banned from the local library. And also, Cruz will tell Mom who they voted for. LOL

No one's gonna read it hon.

I've seen similar mailings in the past work very effectively, even when they weren't fact-based like this one, and the voters were not as misled about a candidate's history as this one.

We'll see.

Bottom line is that this is distributed in IOWA to a target audience, and those Iowans WILL read it.

I don’t care who it is that manages to get the truth about Trump to the voters.

Any messenger will do.

His (Cruz's) supporters on this form destroyed him here

It is reminiscent of Ron Paul's first campaign. I like a lot of what Ron Paul was saying, but wondered why he couldn't control his arrogant nasty supporters.

I know what you mean about the supporters of Cruz here causing those same doubts. For me it's more that those supporters, when they attacked others and me as not intelligent or informed enough to understand the issue, I began to see that side of Cruz. Some of those supporters are people whom I agree with on a lot of other issues.

But, yeah, the supporters and the heavy-handed campaign probably cause Cruz a lot of support.
