I was almost starting to feel sorry for Shane Osborn.
After all, he had been spurned by the conservative movement in favor of a fresher face named Ben Sasse, had been unceremoniously un-endorsed (for really no good reason) by FreedomWorks, had his military service questioned, and was effectively swift-boated in an ad paid for by an outside group.
(SNIP)
As Jonathan Strong points out, The pledge, from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), asks candidates to vow to oppose amnesty, increases in legal immigration, and increases in the number of guest workers.
They dont just want to stop illegal immigration, they want to stop . . . immigration. And Osborn is attacking Ben Sasse because he hasnt (at the time of this writing) acceded to these pressure tactics to endorse this nativist message.
His buddy Paul Ryan is a true conservative unlike Trump.
Sassy is a Harvard and Oxford boy, who got degrees on government and history and philosophy. (we laugh when girls get them) He obviously wasn’t law school caliber.
He has never worn a uniform or held a job outside academia or government.
Now he is tweeting against someone big, trying to get 15 minutes of free publicity. Childish.
“swift-boated”
Any article that uses that phrase really should not be posted. Any article or writer at an alleged conservative website that uses that phrase other than in some ironic sense should be banned from being posted.
What an idiot Matt K. Lewis is. He is so shallow in his thinking he reveals, he is a captive of DC/leftist thinking with that one hyphenated phrase.
Good point.
Also, “this nativist message” is revealing of his background.
Matt Lewis is a propagandist for The Cheap Labor Express
Take everything he writes with a boulder of salt
NATIVIST - new buzz word, dog whistle, labeling by the Leftist bullies.
“His buddy Paul Ryan is a true conservative unlike Trump.”
That true conservatism of Ryan must be what caused him to hand Obama and the democrats a budget that was beyond their wildest dreams, as they admitted themselves.
The only reason Shane Osborne got into politics was to line his own pockets. When his corruption was partially exposed to the light, he was voted out. I don’t know if Sasse is any different. However, we do know that Shane is dishonest. That is enough for me.
