Scummy
This CANNOT POSSIBLY be real!
How stupid is this? I don’t know my neighbor. I don’t want to know their voting record. Cruz is really a commie.
Surely this isn’t true.
Cruz can’t be that stupid.
Anybody have confirmation that Cruz’s camp really sent out those letters?
Hard to believe, I agree.
SERIOUSLY bad marketing. Infantile. Ouch.
Assuming this is even true, and it looks like it is, I can’t imagine that this wouldn’t backfire horribly. Personally, I’d be REALLY pissed at anyone trying to “shame” me into doing anything, and I’d be almost guaranteed to do the opposite of what I was trying to be “shamed” into doing.
Basically, this is a TERRIBLE approach to convincing someone you should vote for them. I mean this seems like practically a threat: vote for me or you’re an asshole.
yikes.
adds support to the notion that cruz is difficult to get along with.
If it is, Cruz is an abject moron smashing nails into his own coffin.
If I got that and wasn't planning on voting, I'd be absolutely determined to vote for his competitor.
If this invasion of privacy is true, it is a huge mistake by the Cruz campaign.
This is obviously a dirty trick to make Cruz look bad.
If this is really from Cruz then he seems to be acting as if he is on the ropes. I hope this is not him, since IMHO his best strategy is to play it slow and safe, waiting for Trump to slip up or show a weakness.
They’re public records. If someone is playing Big Brother it’s whoever passed the law making the records public.
These are clearly people not likely to vote. Every tactic has probably already been tried to motivate them. So this is a last-resort effort. It might be the only motivation they understand to actually get involved and stop the liberal takeover of America.
Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler confirmed to IJ Review that the mailer was theirs in a phone call Friday evening, saying that the targeting had been âvery narrow, but the caucuses are important and we want people who havenât voted before to vote.â
That ain’t gonna work.
