WH: Clinton Won't Be Indicted 'Based On What We Know'
The Weekly Standard ^ | January29,2016 | DANIEL HALPER

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said today that "based on what we know" it does not look like Hillary Clinton will be indicted. Earnest made the remarks the White House podium.

A reporter asked, "Can you say with certainty and confidence that Secretary Clinton will not be indicted because of this email scandal

"That will be a decision made by the Department of Justice and prosecutors over there," said Earnest. "What I know that some officials over there have said is that she is not a target of the investigation. So that does not seem to be the direction that it's trending.

But I'm certainly not going to weigh in on a decision or in that process in any way. That is a decision to be made solely by independent prosecutors but again, based on what we know from the Department of Justice, it does not seem to be headed in that direction."

Maduro in Venezuela doesn’t have this kind of balls.

These MF’s truly believe they can escape prosecution.

TRUMP is going to CRUCIFY them.

...what email address did Obama use??

Usually some unsecured government server, but the super-ultra-top-secret stuff goes through his Hotmail account.

When the government is 100% criminal, laws no longer need to be followed by the citizenry.

Period.

Interesting and I don’t doubt it. I’d bet 0bama was fully aware of her illegal use of a private email account and couldn’t have cared less.

It’s “game on” as far as I can see.

That's good.

Scenario #1I'm hoping Sanders wins the popular vote and Hillary wins because the super delegates are stacked in her favor. Then angry democrat voters realizing the game has been stacked against them will either defect to Trump or stay home.

Sanders is only down a few points in Iowa after a steady climb. So it's possible that he will win Iowa. And he has a strong lead in will win New Hampshire. If he wins both, he is likely to pick up additional support and could win the popular vote for the democrat nomination.

Scenario #2If Hillary wins the nomination without relying on the superdelegates, it will be high energy Trump vs low energy Hillary. And I expect Trump will wipe the floor with her. And I just don't see the democratic base being that excited about her. After all she did lose to Obama. And that was many scandals ago.

Scenario #3If Sanders wins the nonination, I think the socialist/communist agenda of Sanders is going to turn off some of the democratic base. Again advantage Trump.

Scenario #4Hillary drops out because of an indictment. The democratic base then rallies around either Sanders or Biden and their anger gets directed at Republicans. This in my opinion is the worst case scenario. I still think Trump can win against either, but I want a divided 'rat base.

Nixon got in trouble for interfering. Obama is doing the same thing.

It doesn't appear that either Hillary or Obama have an effective endgame.

Nope, they never thought this would happen and there's no way to spin it away. If Guccifer hadn't been caught with her email addie, exposing her home grown server, this might still all be hidden.

“What we know” means Hillary has so much shit on Obama that Obama would go down with her.

From your lips to God's ears.

No, this means the FBI isn’t telling the White Hut Jack S***.

And that’s a good thing.

Comey is going to drop a hammer. A big one.

That is how the FBI is supposed to roll. Until an investigation comes to some firm conclusions with nailed down evidence they don’t confirm or deny that they’re investigating anybody and that includes telling POTUS.

I might be mistaken but I think all the stories about their investigation have been leaks not official announcements. Those are unusual in themselves. Same goes for the DoJ in spite of the AG being a presidential appointment.

LOL! He doesn’t need a line to them since he already knows the outcome. Message sent regardless. Not to mention nobody on the lynch mob will call for convening a grand jury. Treason? Pffffttt!

Interesting and I don’t doubt it. I’d bet 0bama was fully aware of her illegal use of a private email account and couldn’t have cared less.

These people were inciting riots and revolutions all over the place, running weapons to unsavory people, and who knows what else. Of course nether Obama or Hillary would want any of their correspondence related to any of that to sit on any government server.

I think, based on what’s been reported in the last ten days or so, that this IS more than the usual Clinton corruption and she is in serious trouble.

Josh was cleverly quoting a source back from months ago, maybe last summer saying she isn’t “the target” of the investigation. He was very careful choosing the words he used today, “from what we know”. That leaves plenty of room for what they plausibly DON’T know.

I think the feds are not letting her off. The real struggle will become, what will obama and Lynch do? Lots of cost/benefit scenarios for them to consider. It’s already been leaked that high-ranking fbi people are prepared to go whistleblower and make the public aware of the crimes.

If Hitlery skates, I think this will cause enough outrage that it could help the Republicans in the general election.

if taking classified materials off premises without permission is no longer an offense... then please relay that to everyone currently holding a clearance.

because... the last i checked, walking out with a single packet would get me a year in jail, secret, ts, or above.

either we have laws we ALL live under... ALL OF US... or we don’t.
