Well if we call Mexicans who have their kids in the US “anchor babies” then I guess Americans who have there kids in Canada are anchor babies as well. I don’t see the problem. If someone is offended because its Cruz then they should be offended by the term and concept as it applies to Mexicans in the US. At least Trump is consistent.

What he said is true, Ted is in fact an anchor baby to Canada because Canada automatically by their law confer citizenship on any human life form born in their jurisdiction.
Ted’s mother never asked or sought for Canadian citizenship for her son. She brought him back home and had his citizen at birth (natural born) established. He was never Canadian by choice or by any design of his parents.
