More important than states are the 400k conservatives that DID NOT vote for the Republican candidate. What is the GOP doing to get the Christian, conservative, taxpaying, honest, gun owning worker to the polls?
Obama got 3.5 million fewer votes in 2012 than he did in 2008 and Romney received one million more votes than McCain in 2008. Obama still won by 5 million votes.
3 million less voters turned out for Romney, than McCain. Not sure how many were conservatives? I’d say most.
