[averaged a respective 1.76 million viewers (CNN) and 1.02 million viewers (MSNBC) between 9 and 11 p.m. ET]
Because most of the viewers changed channels to CSPAN when the commentators started interrupting.

Because most of the viewers changed channels to CSPAN when the commentators started interrupting. I know I did ...it was uber annoying.

"Because most of the viewers changed channels to CSPAN when the commentators started interrupting." You are exactly right. I put up with a couple of CNN's ignorant interruptions, but when Santorum and Huckabee showed up at the Veterans benefit, and that CNN dingleberry immediately interrupted Santorum's speech, I switched to CSPAN (which I understand was not included in the number estimates for the "Veterans" viewers).
CSPAN didn't interrupt anything, and they actually showed different shots of the crowd there.
