TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran flew a surveillance drone over a U.S. aircraft carrier and took "precise" photographs of it as part of an ongoing naval drill, state media reported Friday. The U.S. Navy said an unarmed Iranian drone flew near a French and American carrier earlier this month, but couldn't confirm it was the same incident.

This is just another incident showing how thoroughly gutless our NAVY and military have become.

In other words, they know it’s the 5000th red line in the
sand and if they cross it next time they might do something
about it just like the last 4999 times. Some day they’ll
board a carrier right in the middle of a battle group and take it hostage
then probably, most likely there might be a slight chance we
just might do something about it. But don’t bet on it.
That's what I thought too. Just because it didn't have a missile hanging off it ? It could have been packed with explosives....

I was poo pooing (Horsie Pooing, actually) the Navy saying the drone was harmless.
Then I asked how they knew that. They did not.
Which reflects exactly what you pointing out. The Navy’s reaction to call it harmless illustrates caving in.
So I disagree with you. Not about the Navy, but about how I do my Poo Pooing (Horsie Pooing, actually).

the “poo pooing” comment is homage to my mom. She always used that and it made me laugh every time. I used to get whipped cause she thought i was laughing at her. I was just laughing at Poo pooing, cause being a small kid, anything with poop in it made me laugh!!
Good thoughts indeed. As someone else posted, how did they know this wasn’t an attack? That is, how did they know that the drone didn’t contain Semtex along with perhaps anti-personnel polymer shards?
