"Was that all an act?" Kelly asked after playing multiple video clips of Cruz.

I did not watch the debate, so maybe I don't quite understand -- but isn't it pretty odd for a "debate moderator" to show clips of someone's previous speeches/talks and dissect them? I thought "debate moderators" were supposed to provide questions and then stand back as the debaters debated - and to steer them back to the subject if they wandered astray.

Sounds like this was more the tactic of an 'ambush interview'. Or 'tough questions during an interview', if you prefer -- but no place for a 'debate moderator'. Unless the 'debate moderator' sought to become the focal point - rather than the debaters.

A narcissistic personality disorder will do that to you. JMO.

They are not debates.

They are antagonistic public interviews, designed to belittle the candidates, while making the inquisitor appear oh so smart and fact filled and versed in the art of dissection.

For too long we have been clamoring for the RNC to flip them the collective bird, only to have them accept each and every invite to come into the web for another round of GOTCHA!.

I applaud Trump for telling it like it is.

And, this is a fact, any time Mr. Cruz would do the same, it would be shouted from the rooftops as being spectacularly wonderful, and about time, and much backslapping.

Truth is, regardless of who one supports, it is in fact time to wrest the microphone away from these low life aholes bent on self aggrandizement while posing as knowledgeable political "debate" moderators.

The moderators did to everyone, so it was fair play; and it gave the speaker a chance to rebut or clarify. I had no problem with that tactic.

On the other hand, Trump would have had plenty of problems with his past statements.

Your correct...... hasn’t been a “debate” yet this election ....nothing but a reality TV agenda driven plethora of presstitute BS . Those participating in the debate present opposing views to a set of questions presented by the moderator. They don’t argue with the the moderator, nor are they interviewed by the moderator. The moderators in debates up to this point are NOT worth a damn....... more of a circus circle jerk cartoon . Seen better moderators at the high school level.

Debate ..... a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward.

My opinion....

Wasn’t a debate. None have been. Just media events with a thinly veiled political agenda behind them. FOX News should be ashamed. Again.
