Sessions has also come as closely as he can to endorsing Cruz. But he’s a man of his word and won’t endorse. Joint appearances don’t mean a lot. Grassley’s appearance last week introducing Trump was writ large by Trump fans. But IIRC he’s scheduled to do the same for Cruz tomorrow. And IIRC Grassley was about the only one of the older GOP senators to speak during Ted’s fillibuster, so he doesn’t consider Ted ‘nasty.’
Soon after being destroyed in Iowa, perhaps next Tuesday morning, Cruz will jump in to be the first to endorse Trump.
Cruz is a good man who just can’t win, but he is a gentleman and he knows Trump will help to turn our country around.
sen. Jeff Sessions has said he will not endorse anyone in the primaries.
Do you remember reading about when the President said nice things about Tip O'Neil, one of the most partisan Democrat Speaker of the House? Think 1980's.
The president at the time was proud to work well with him.
I'll bet Trump is going to infuriate Reid, Pelosi, and the Speaker of the House, just as Tip O'Neil was infuriated when he kept being played by Reagan.
Sessions.
