An 18-year-old woman was shot on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Thursday morning, after getting into an argument with someone in another vehicle.
Illinois State Police shut down the outbound lanes of the expressway for more than an hour while they investigated and searched for evidence, but no shell casings were found.
Police said the woman was a passenger in a van whose occupants got into an argument with someone in a blue car at a gas station near 79th Street and Lafayette Avenue around 2:20 a.m. The victims then drove onto the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway.

I wouldn’t drive down the Dan Ryan Expressway in anything less than an armored car! Trump should also build a wall around Chicago, throw in a few thousand guns and let the “god folks there” settle things without any outside inerference.

Just look crazier than them, and they’ll leave you alone. Another rule to live by - keep a few dents in your car; it gives you more room on the expressway and in parking lots.
Or maybe the empty casings landed back in the perps vehcle. Seems they tend to forget about revolvers. Just more proof the anti gunners are idiots.
The woman and other people in the car had gotten into an argument with someone in another car near 79th Street and Lafayette Avenue in the West Chatham neighborhood shortly after 2 a.m., Illinois State Police said in a statement.
The second car followed the woman’s car onto the 79th Street ramp to the southbound Dan Ryan, where someone in the second car fired “multiple shots at the victims’ vehicle,†state police said.
