When Hitler was a rising power before WWII, the press didn’t have meltdowns and go into daily rages of HDS. In fact, most of the press of the day thought Hitler was very progressive. They even admired his decorator sense.

Donald Trump has no plan to conquer the world and kill all Jews, Gypsies and other undesirables. To think such indicates an absurd psychosis, an unserious person and a waste of one’s time.
Meanwhile, Merkel allows millions of young male Muslims to cross borders without condition and proceed to cause terror and rape among peaceful civilians. Perhaps Eva can get her martyrdom-by-association mind around that.

Neither of those things, as well as countless other evils, happened immediately. It happened incrementally and started with a candidate that was stirring a very passionate block of voters with an angry message calling for making Germany first again, closing their borders to trade, getting revenge for the Treaty of Versailles and many other issues that whipped the mobs into a frenzy.
He then followed that Nationalism with a call for big government programs, or Socialism. For example, the governing NAZI’s didn’t start gassing people immediately, first they had to “commoditize human beings.” They accomplished this after cenralizing their health care system and that led to experiments on all sorts of folks, for example sets of twins, gypsies, etc.
Remember, the evil did not exist immediately. It was incremental and became worse over time. Of course, things are slower in the US, but we have been on the same course for a little over 100 years.
