"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

The government will always fear the people as they don’t know their mind. The people ought ALWAYS fear the government as they don’t know the mind or ambitions of the nameless faceless bureaucrat in decision-making.
We fear what behavior we cannot predict.
Yes. But can you feel that first light of liberty coming in through the drapes?
Replying to myself...!
Look at the Oregon ranch fiasco....how much patience would the fed gov have in order to avoid a Ruby Ridge repeat, who would override a higher-up’s decision when an on-the-ground situation changed things...?
The answer comes too late. Likewise, how would the leaders of the protest react to scenarios they did not plan on OUTSIDE the protest area, along a snowy road....
Clearer heads were not in control on either side once the situation changed from predictable. A man is dead. A cop feels like crap for killing a family man, regardless any future conviction or exoneration.
