In my screen typeface, at first I thought it read profits of $10.88. That would have been funny.

Guess they are still to poor to issue a recall on 2010 F-150 rear slider windows that shatter or blow out when the rear defroster is turned on.

CSM, good to see ya bud. Sadly my gut feel is WS will treat it as a ho-hum and the stock will go sideways at best. I hate to get conspiratorial, but Ford is making real cars, and real profits Vs. some electric wiz toy with a stock price thru the moon and someone else who’s Obama’s pet who took bailouts and their stocks are way higher. It makes no sense, or no one knows what real value is, or someone is shorting their brains out against the home team.

Yep. They could have picked a nice right to work state and built some nice Made In America products. The good news is they will be able to afford tariffs for importing cars from slave labor countries.

Apple made $18B in profit and uses suicidal coolies to make their iPhones.

TD, good to see you too. I figured it would be nice to post something positive for FR, so I grabbed this announcement. I agree with you tho, WS always seems to treat FoMoCo’s profits as a negative!

If you go to the links and look at the actual numbers, you’d notice that it is on average around $600 per vehicle sold. The factory in Mexico will likely have a product that will be losing money, so no it isn’t as “affordable” as many think.

The right to work state they coulda picked is the state next door - Arizona.

Hermosillo is a dusty wide spot in the road. No one there ever bought a new Ford or Cheby.

But the citizens of Arizona did. So what did Ford ever do for them?

Nada damn thing.

$10.8 billion for an automobile company for full year?

To put that into perspective, Apple made $18.4 billion -- in a single quarter...
