Senator Ted Cruz challenged businessman Donald Trump to debate anytime-anywhere. Cruz even offered to pay for the travel and venue.
Trump responded on Twitter, "Can we do it in Canada?"
The swipe, of course, was a reference to Cruz's home country.

Well Donald he did say anytime, anyplace,so let’s get it on!
Your emperor has no clothes.
Yup, yup, we have a real Rickles wanna be, if only he was funny like Rickles maybe it wouldn’t grate on me so much.
Cruz is desperate for Trump’s attention ... without Trump’s coattails to ride on , Cruz is nothing
How about Trump’s mother’s homeland of Scotland?
Cruz actually said anywhere in Iowa. So Trump is lying, again.
Do it...
Maybe at McGill University where Ted won the debate title?
He’d be better off worrying about tomorrow night, as all guns will be aimed at him now that Trump won’t be there.
Funny.
Excuse me, but America is Cruz’s home country.
He was born in the USA so it doesn’t matter. and both of his parents were US citizens even if it did matter.
Aren’t they about to ban him there?
America isn’t his native country however and that’s his real problem here, isn’t it?
Trump.
The very model of the modern political COWARD!
.
Being a good debater does not equate with being a good leader.
Born June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York, NY (Jus Soli)
Parents were
Frederick Christ Trump, born October 11, 1905 in Queens, NY, died June 1999 in Queens, NY
Mary Ann MacLeod, born May 10, 1912 in SCOTLAND, died August 7, 2000 in Queens, NY. Arrived in US October 5, 1935. Naturalized as a US Citizen March 10, 1942.
Both parents were US Citizens at the time of his birth (Jus Sanguinis)
Donald Trump was born in the US to two US Citizen parents so is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN
More mindless snark from the Carnival Barker in Chief.
Actually a good counter-move on Cruz’s part. Gonna be hard for Trump to dodge this one. Be interesting to see the reason he gives for not taking the challenge. If he doesn’t, it will cost him votes and maybe Iowa.
I think it’s called....
I’ll see your 1m and raise you 1.5m
