The original article is from CBS, so who knows how slanted it might be. Anyway, Trump is going to pass on tomorrow's debate, and instead hold a charity event for wounded veterans. I hope Trump is careful as to where that money goes.

Side note to The Donald: How about donating all profits from those "Make America Great Again" hats to charity? That would be a nice touch.

I wish Trump would donate profits to True the Vote. That would help the whole country.

They (WW) spend so much on advertising that it might be a good idea to see who owns the ad agency they use. Conflicts of interest, maybe?

I have a real good friend who’s a medically retired Army warrant officer and pilot who was badly wounded in Iraq. He went to work for Wounded Warriors after he was released from Bethesda, but quit after little more than two years. He told me he was disgusted with the bloated pay and lavish lifestyles of the WW executives and the money they were wasting.

If the allegations are true about how many pennies on the dollar for this charity actually make it a deserving recipient this is despicable. No excuse. It is sad how many charity organizations are becoming comparable to Fortune 500 companies for employee salaries.

The information that is out there is very disturbing to me and I would like to see their reply. Nothing on their website about these allegations.

I’d heard similar things years ago when I used you donate to them. I now give to different vet organizations.

Sad to hear it as me and my father give to them regularly. It doesn’t surprise me though, as that happens with a lot of charities, they get these a-holes in who think because a charity takes in a lot of money, that they can then pay themselves like a Fortune 500 CEO which is outrageous because it’s a CHARITY.

All the more reason why Touchback Trump would like them.

I’m sending this article to my dad with this quotation....

“According to the charity’s tax forms obtained by CBS News, spending on conferences and meetings went from $1.7 million in 2010, to $26 million in 2014, which is the same amount the group spends on combat stress recovery.”

That is absolutely INSANELY outrageous!!!! TWENTY SIX MILLION!!! As if vets aren’t being screwed over enough as it is!!

I give to (and recommend) the Gary Sinise Foundation.
I know that Gary personally visits many vets and the families of KIA.

One of the major news casts the other night said that 60% of the money goes to the Wounded Warriors and the other 40% goes to “expenses.”

WW and othe “veteran” charities have one of the worst pass throughs of all charities. Do your research before donating.

There used to be organizations that oversaw the finances of charities and would vouch for them. It’s been a really long time, but one that I remember was the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Their stamp of approval could be placed on your publications to assure donors that the charity was on the up and up financially. The result frequently was larger donations to the charity.

I don’t know if Financial Accountability type organisations still exist or not, or who the ‘’names’’ are any more. Sounds like wounded warriors needs to do this.

Could be a good business to launch, and do it right.
